November Update

In Math, we will be focusing on Topic 1 in our Envision books as we look to understand place value.  This includes the use of exponents, scientific notation, and decimals.  This is an important topic that will be used to build other topics upon, so encourage your child to give their full effort on classwork and homework.

In Reading, we will begin our nonfiction unit where we look at tackling complexity.  We will look at strategies we use as text becomes more complex and how to transfer their reading into independent research projects.

Be sure to be checking Home Access Center every two weeks to see updated grades and assignments!  

September Update

During the month of September, we have been focusing on the habits of being a good student and learner.  We spent time learning the 11 Expectations and practicing them in our classrooms.
