Welcome to Our School
We are so glad you are joining our community! At Havre de Grace Elementary School we are proud to welcome all of our military families – both new and returning. We welcome our new students with a tour of the building and an introduction to new friends in their class. We recognize Purple Up day in April each year. We have an annual military family night to help our military families connect with each other and resources in the community. The school counselor offers small groups or individual sessions for students struggling with adjustment to a parent being deployed. We are available to help your transition to our school be as smooth as possible. Please contact us and let us know how we can help.
Planning Your Move to Havre de Grace
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our school community. Our school year begins after Labor Day and ends each school year in mid-June. The school day begins at 9:30 am and goes to 4 pm. Visit our calendar page for additional information. Preparing Your Move From Havre de Grace
Please contact the front office to discuss withdrawal procedures. It is important to notify us as early as possible - or at least one week in advance - to begin the withdrawal process. Official copies of student educational records will be sent to the receiving school. Military families moving out of our district are also encouraged to contact Military School Liaison, Stacie Umbarger.
